Edward Carter’s are proud to be the longest established family owned and run Funeral Directors in the Abingdon area.

The history of the business goes back three generations to the early 1950’s when Edward Carter became a highly respected funeral director in Oxford. Edward’s proudest moment was arranging and directing Sir Winston Churchill’s burial in Bladon.

Serving the Oxfordshire community for so many years, the business is now run by Nigel Carter and his son Paul.

We Cater for all requirements, arranging the details of the funeral, from the practical elements, such as coffins, hearse, limousines to the church or crematorium, along with obituary notices, flowers, receptions, catering, service sheets, music requirements and any other requests that make the funeral the personal tribute that it deserves to be.
